Holly MinchOn August 8 in San Francisco, we will be hosting a backyard screening of “Meatballs” complete with rousing chants of “It just doesn’t matter!” in honor of Mr. Murray’s important contributions to our lives. We hope he will honor us with his presence. We have a spare room in which he can crash — up to him if he wants the dog to sleep in his bed or not.

JacqueMr. Murray (Mr. Soze? Kaiser?),
Your party crash tour dates list you as being in San Francisco on August 8, which is a Wednesday, which is conveniently the daytime shift I work at my neighborhood bar on West Portal, called Portal’s Tavern. We open at 10am. Your first drink is on me. No really. You’ll probably want something to cure the night before anyways, right?
Yours,

Kelly DiGregorioMore on that August 8th geek/tech industry party. It’s going to be a Bill Murray Dirty Thirty Karaoke Extravaganza! Taking up all of BUTTER, 354 11th St between Folsom & Harrison Sts in San Francisco.
Geeks love you and your movies, Bill. Come visit us! Guest list only, except for you of course
Background:
So here’s the deal. I’m turning 30. But who really cares about that–Did you know that Bill Murray will purportedly be in San Francisco tomorrow night crashing karaoke parties that do a good job of beckoning him in?
https://superofficialnews.com/bill-murray-kicks-off-party-crashing-tour-starting-in-augustThink this internet meme/rumor is just a hoax? We’ll be testing it out tomorrow night from 9p-2a at BUTTER, where we will have the ENTIRE PLACE to ourselves and an exclusive karaoke session hosted by (in)famous San Francisco KJ, Roger Niner.
The venue has the perfect white trash theme to conjure your inner Tallahassee, Zombie Bill Murray, or any other character from Zombieland, complete with twinkies and–can it even get any better?–deep fried twinkies! Tallahassee’s favorite, upgraded.
But it doesn’t have to stop there. Maybe you’re feeling more Dr. Venkman from Ghostbusters, or Carl from Caddyshack, or you want to put on a pink wig and traipse around looking as cute as Scarlett Johansson did playing Charlotte in Lost in Translation (there will be a bunch of us gals doing that).
Whatever it is, PLEASE do try to show up in something that captures the spirit of one of Bill’s awesome flicks. Remember, we’ve got to make sure he knows that “Bill Murray Can Crash Here”!
