The weather is starting to get warmer, which means that music festival season is rapidly approaching. Music festivals have become extremely popular in recent years because there is something exhilarating about listening to great music surrounded by thousands of other people. Deciding between several great music festivals may seem hard, but the process is actually quite easy if you analyze the key aspects of each festival. Here is a comparison breakdown of the four of the biggest music festivals in the United States:

Governors Ball

Governors Ball takes place on Randall’s Island, a short ferry ride from Manhattan. Chance the Rapper, Phoenix, and Tool are headlining and year after year this festival consistently has incredible vibes. The food lineup, curated by The Infatuation includes some of the city’s best restaurants and vendors. You can get tacos, lobster rolls, and some of the best BBQ in town all in one day. That alone is reason enough to get a ticket. Plus, if you live in the city, you can sleep in your own bed. What could be better?

Bonnaroo

You will either love or hate the location of Bonnaroo. The festival takes place on an open campground in the small town of Manchester, Tennessee. This location helps Bonnaroo provide an old-school festival and camping experience. Cell phone and internet service will be spotty, so the technology offered in the festival is nearly non-existent. U2 may be the biggest headliner at any festival this year, but the rest of the lineup is a little disappointing. Bacon Land and the Food Truck Oasis should keep everyone in attendance stuffed with amazing food.

Lollapalooza

It is hard to beat the location of Grant Park in downtown Chicago for a music festival. Lollapalooza is also delivering one of its strongest lineups in years with Chance the Rapper, Muse, Arcade Fire and The Killers headlining. The best restaurants in Chicago will be on the festival grounds all four days serving amazing food. Everyone in attendance will be given an RFID wristband that will be scanned at the entrance gates. It can also be linked to your bank account to make paying for food and drinks easier than ever before.

Austin City Limits

Austin City Limits is held in the beautiful Zilker Park every year. The lineup will be announced later this year, but Austin City Limits always features a great mixture of rock, folk and hip hop music. The festival will offer the same RFID wristbands used at Lollapalooza. There will be just under 40 award-winning chefs and restaurants at the festival serving delicious food to all of the music lovers. Austin City Limits offers a great three-day experience at a very affordable price. This is easily the best value of the top four United States music festivals.

Of course any music festival is a great time, but these 4 really highlight the best experiences out there. There are always the diehards who will argue for Burning Man to be on the list, but we felt that in particular isn’t quite meant for everyone. If you manage to hit it big at some point in the future, we highly recommend going to all 5 of them! They’re certainly experiences you’ll be glad for later on in life.

Kanye West $500 Million Awards Show Financed By Jay Z, Kim Kardashian And Beyoncé

The Kanye West awards show simply dubbed the ‘K’ is ready to go. The $500 million dollars has been paid and it turns out besides Kanye, it’s main financiers are Jay Z, Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé according to sources.

Kanye said on his Twitter feed this is the show in our lifetime not to miss.

The ‘K’ awards show is begins at 8:30 p.m, but not before the ‘K Carpet’ which begins at 7 p.m. All of this happens to be at the exact time the Oscars.

Will anyone watch this, since it is on the same night as the Oscars? I guess that is the $500,000 question. We will have to wait till February 22nd to find out, where it is being held at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kanye West Spending $500 Million Of Own Money On Awards Show The Same Night As The Oscars

Breaking News is coming out of Las Vegas, Nevada this morning as reports are saying that Kanye West is spending $500 million dollars of his own money to throw an awards show. This awards show, being called the ‘K’, is meant to complete with the Oscars say promoters, since it’s being held at the exact same time.

Kanye West says he expects the show to be huge.

“My show will be bigger than the Oscars, the Grammys, all put together, anything you’ve ever seen before in your entire life,” Kanye told reporters. “I’m gonna have all the biggest names there too, because everyone is tired of the Oscars, it’s boring. What I’m throwing will be the awards show of the century, in our whole lifetime.”

The ‘K’ is being held at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, which says Kanye has already paid the necessary deposit. What will happen in the end, will people end up watching Kanye or the Oscars, only time will tell.

When Katey Kinkade is not being the most beautiful girl in Australia, she is talking with her Facebook boyfriend Paul Horner. That is a very smart move on her part, but what else would she do in Australia besides being beautiful and catching huge car-size spiders?

If you get a chance to meet the beautiful and charming Katey Kinkade from Australia, I highly recommend it. Though what I do not recommend is living with spiders the size of houses, unless they are beautiful spiders and Katey Kinkade can protect you. She will bash spiders and ride them to America and lease them to amusement parks.

City In Louisiana Makes ‘Twerking’ Illegal – 30 Days In Jail For First Offense

DeQuincy, LA — The dance craze twerking has become such a problem in the small town of DeQuincy, Louisiana that city officials have made it illegal.

Maynard Wilkens who is the Mayor of DeQuincy spoke to CNN about the ban on twerking that takes effect at midnight. “Twerking is a defiant act against Jesus and his teachings. The rest of the country can keep their heads in the sand about this sexual act before marriage, but not the great city of DeQuincy,” Wilkens said. “We will still allow dancing in DeQuincy, just no jigglin’, shakin’ and ‘dry humping’ anywhere in our city limits.”

Bobby Joe Williams who is the sheriff in the town told reporters about the penalties for those caught twerking. “First time offenders will receive a mandatory 30 days in the county jail. After that it will be a much harsher punishment,” Williams said. “We are not taking this matter lightly. There ain’t gonna be no twerkin’ in my city, not no more.”

24-year-old DeQuincy resident Brandon Adams told reporters he does not agree with the new law. “There is nothing to do in this town, seriously. Twerking is all us kids had left and now they’re taking it away from us,” Adams said. “I don’t see what the big deal is. At least we weren’t out causing trouble, sniffing glue and breaking stuff. I guess we’ll now have to go back to doing that.”

Twerking is a type of dancing in which the dancer, usually a woman, shakes her hips up-and-down in a bouncing motion, causing the dancer’s buttocks to shake, ‘wobble’ and ‘jiggle’ in a sexually provocative manner. The origins of twerking are unknown but were recently made popular by Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke‘s performance at the MTV VMAs last month.

The town of DeQuincy has a population of 3,398 as of the 2000 census. DeQuincy is part of the Lake Charles Metropolitan Statistical Area. So far state officials in Louisiana have yet to make a formal statement concerning the ban on twerking.

Hating Anything In Life Is Only Hating Yourself

Hate, intolerance, racism all can be fixedHate, intolerance and racism in this world could all be a thing of the past but it first starts with you. This is your life and you can choose to live it however you want. There is no one stopping you from living a life full of love and acceptance except yourself.

I was hanging out with this girl last night at my house who is lucky enough to have a permanent tan. She knows I write and do standup and wanted to hear some jokes. I told her a few and then warned her about the next one. “I’m going to tell it to you”, I said, “But you might find it racist or offensive.” She said, “Say it! I want to hear it!” So after a moment of thinking, I told her the joke.

“I’m so tired of people referring to things by adding color in the description. For example, ‘Hey everybody, check out my new black shoes!’ Why can’t they just say, ‘Hey everybody, check out my new shoes?’ The same goes for painting. Why do people have to say ‘black paint’? Why can’t they just say, ‘Jamal, please paint the fence’.”

She started laughing and milk actually shot out of her nose. I didn’t even have any milk in the house. She must have brought it from home, maybe in a milk flask or something.

I asked her if that joke was too racist or offensive. She kind of blew my mind with her answer and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. She said, “The people that find that joke racist, are racist. It’s something deep down, almost subconscious. It’s something that they don’t like about themselves. So instead of fixing their problem they take their anger and frustrations out on someone else.”

Think about most of the Republicans out there like Rick Santorum for example. He hides his hate and homophobia behind a 2,000-year-old book. That guy thinks about gay sex more than gay people think about gay sex.

As a person in office that represents the gay hate machine, Santorum will never publicly come out of the closet, but I guarantee that sooner or later a scandal will emerge about him being with another man. It’s only a matter of time.
