F*ck You Fox News and Mike Huckabee

America is not a Christian nation. It's not possible. So stop blaming tragedies on it.

America is not a Christian nation under one god, but a lot of people and corporations like to believe it is.

Fox News and ignorant a*sholes like Mike Huckabee are blaming these types of horrible acts, such as the one today, on America losing it’s Christian values. Hey, morons, this has NOTHING to do with America supposedly losing it’s Christian values. This is about crazies being crazy.

First of all, America was not founded as a Christian nation. Second, there is no one religion in America, or the world for that matter. And third, it doesn’t matter if you believe in god or not…. crazies will always continue to craze. It’s about getting that unbalanced person help when red flags show up so horrible tragedies like this don’t happen.

Also, if it turns out this shooter was a Christian that went to church every Sunday, 100% guaranteed you will see Fox News pull all their stories and Huckabee will go into hiding… all of them pretending like they never made those statements or wrote those articles. I’ve seen it happen a million times before. The propaganda machine of fear, ignorance and hate that these corporations and individuals put out there makes me sick.

To those that think stricter gun laws are the answer… You think you can keep guns out of the hands of crazies and dangerous felons? Will NEVER happen. EVER. Online, learn about Bitcoins and the Silk Road… or go out on the street and buy whatever you want. The black market is about making money, not verifying a person’s mental health. People need to wake-up so bullsh*t like this stops happening.

If one good thing happened out of this horrible tragedy is that the shooter killed himself. We won’t have to deal with seeing his mugshot all over the place and putting the victims families through some lengthy trial.

UPDATE: Fear of being committed may have caused Connecticut gunman to snap

A*SHOLE AFA Spokesman Bryan Fischer Says Children Died in Shooting Because School Did Not Embrace God:

Interesting…. I remember each airline started carrying a gun on their flights, locked up tight, after 9/11. Why are school’s not doing this? Is this a solution to a truly evil and horrific problem?

  2. Morgan Freeman says:

    TURN OFF THE NEWS…….

“You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here’s why.

It’s because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he’ll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN’s article says that if the body count “holds up”, this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer’s face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer’s identity? None that I’ve seen yet. Because they don’t sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you’ve just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man’s name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news.”

    • I am a Christian and find it a little hypocritical for non-religious people to attack Christians for speaking what they believe. Aren’t you don’t the exact same thing?

Context is king. Mike Huckabee sees the world through a different lens than you do. Do you believe he asked or prayed for children to be killed? If so, we probably can’t have a logical conversation about this. If not, there’s hope that we (Christians and Atheists/Agnostics) can have meaningful discussions centered around how to fight these sorts of things in the future.

One way is for people professing their faith to practice what they preach and try to help their fellow neighbors in need, rather than stick their head in the sand when they see someone having a hard time with life. If we loved the Adam Lanza’s of the world and reached out to him to try and help him navigate life without strings attached, he might not have done something like this. Perhaps that’s something we can all agree upon. -Matt
